Podcast: Clem Shute Interview Part 3 of 3
![]() |
Part 3 of 3 in the January 25 interview with Clem Shute. In this, part 3 of 3, Mr. Shute talks about the Regional Plan Update process and says, “We do have differences of opinion on the Regional Plan Update Committee and there has to be a way found to accommodate those differences of opinion. People are very serious and working hard on this Plan update. The process to resolve disagreement on issues can’t be too cumbersome because we don’t have time. So this puts a lot of pressure on. My goal is to end up with a Regional Plan that is not going to be litigated. I think that in order for Nevada, particularly, to consider that this is a success it will be better for there to be no litigation. So that is an even higher barrier…to get this Plan to pass in a way that stakeholders aren’t tempted to litigate.“ |

'Elevating' the conversation above the 'usual' is what the mentioned Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development does, as it makes clear to all the very things that man needs to do to align with the world around him - the perfect Tahoe filter. . .
A global framework that need not worry about language, geography, culture, or political stance is of course beneficial to everyone - that potentially moves to, or often visits, Tahoe, from everywhere.
Tahoe wants to be a "model", but has not yet picked a "role" for itself - but there is one, if they will only open up to it. . .
Leave "perpetuation" behind. . .
As the lawyer has already said, "Time is of the essence". . .
