Thayer leads the Lake Tahoe Basin collaborative Aquatic Invasive Species Program. The goals of the Program are to prevent new introductions of aquatic invasives to the Tahoe Region, limit the spread of existing aquatic invasive populations and abate harmful ecological, economic, social and public health impacts of aquatic invasives.
